Flightline Aircraft Canopies

Extreme temperatures on the flightline can reach 150 degrees without a sunscreen cover.

Moreover, cockpit instruments are not protected from direct sunlight which can turn into high

maintenance costs for aircraft units.  EDL Construction delivers and installs aircraft sunshades

which will help protect the aircraft and personnel who spend a lot of time with them on the

flightline. 

But most importantly, EDL sunscreen covers can extend the life of each aircraft's wiring,

cockpit instruments, paint and transparencies.  A study by the U.S. Air Force concluded that

this translates into savings of $30,000.00 per aircraft over five years.  Based on the Air Force

study, the covers will pay for themselves.
